kernel2.6.30 and Madwifi -- ath0 is now wlan0

Hi there everybody, recently I've updated my machine with the new kernel2.6.30.* and something strange happed...
I'm using Gigabyte W511N Laptop with Atheros wireless card and before updating to 2.6.30 everything was fine, my wireless interface was:

ath0 -> wifi0

and after the updated it became

wlan0 -> wlmaster0

the name doest botter's me at all, but I found out that for some reason madwifi stopped handle my wireless card and Wext star doing that job..

The problem here for me is that my connection is terrible with this driver, I don't know what happed why does madwifi can't handle it anymore and I hope that someone can help me figure out!

If you need some additional information feel free to ask for it!

Hello. I believe that your problem is probably caused by the ath5k module taking priority over the madwifi module. To fix this, blacklist ath5k in the modules section of your rc.conf.

Thank's Draje, that really solved my problem !!!

I thought that this module was the main madwifi module, but it seems that I'm in a serious mistake smile Anyway, Thanks again for the support. smile
