00:05.0 Audio device: nVidia Corporation MCP61 High Definition Audio (rev a2)
It´s an onboard device, wich has three jacks in the back (green, pink and light-blue), and mic & headphones jacks in the front panel.
Supposedly it´s a 5.1 surround device. I want to be able to use the rear speakers.
When I run the command
speaker-test -twav -c 6
I hear a woman saying "front left" and "front right" at the same time through my front speakers, through the speakers I have connected to the light-blue jack, and through the headphones connected in the front panel.
Channels "rear left", "rear right", "LFE" and "Center" don´t make any sound.
Every channel is unmuted in alsamixer, and it´s setted to use "6 channels".
What can I do?

And, can someone explain how to use HDA Analyzer? It puzzles me.

In the test command above I think you forgot to specify the output device to use (and it defaults to 2.0 output) - try:
speaker-test -c 6 -D surround51 -t wav

Oh, I should have known better. I ended up switching to OSSv4.
Thanks.

Well, now I am back with ALSA. For some reason, reinstalling did the trick.
