[solved] Help installing the Catalyst driver

Hi,

I am trying to get the Catalyst driver set up, and am having a problem.  I was able to install the driver and catalyst-utils alright, the problem is that I can't seem to get X to work with the driver.  Both xinit and xorg -configure fail.  I also ran aticonfigure once I had installed the Catalyst drivers.

I feel like there's something obvious I'm missing here -- any ideas?

Thanks.

Re: [solved] Help installing the Catalyst driver

you say you ran aticonfigure - do you mean this?

aticonfig --initial

if not, give it a try, its always worked for me.

otherwise, what version of catalyst are you using?

Re: [solved] Help installing the Catalyst driver

X.X

Thanks a bundle, AdrenalineJunky.  I had forgotten the --initial flag, which would explain why it wasn't generating the xorg.conf.  Oops.
