Re: Problem with usb devices

Welcome to the forum, nigg!

What does it mean it can't work ? What happens if you try to start the related application/program ?

Re: Problem with usb devices

My dmesg gets spammed with usb 1-1.4: reset high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 19 - connected is usb-drives and when that happen, every application that uses some files on that particular drive freezes for about 20 sec, very frustrating.

Re: Problem with usb devices

i had a similar issue with USB devices being reset multiple times (before being disconnected, reconnected, and reset more times again), after the kernel upgrade to .30. i still don't know what caused it, but i fixed it by moving the offending device (my mouse) from its spot on a hub to the back panel of the pc. have you tried unplugging other devices/giving the device its own port? if it's not on a hub i'm not really sure what it could be... :S

Re: Problem with usb devices

I'm also having this problem. It's happening with my USB flash disk. I was almost buying another one when I tried it with Windows Vista on the same machine and it worked ok, then I tried Arch Linux (with kernel 2.6.30.5) on another machine and got the same error. After that I tried Ubuntu and it worked ok. Seems that Arch's kernel doesn't like my USB flash disk.

Re: Problem with usb devices

Seems that there's a solution for this problem, but I haven't tried it yet. Look: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php? … 44#p610544
