Chromium complains about 64-bit flash

Yes, I know, one more post about Chromium here. I'm sorry, but I don't know how to fix this myself. I have flashplugin, bin32-flashplayer-standalone, libflashsupport3 installed, and still, after running Chromium w/ --enable-plugins, I get:

[4051:4054:433965089:ERROR:/b/slave/chromium-rel-linux/build/src/base/native_library_linux.cc(19)] dlopen failed when trying to open /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libflashplayer.so: /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libflashplayer.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64

Any ideas?

PS.: There is lib32-flashplugin, but the description says it's for Mozilla browsers, and I get:

There is no file `flashplugin-10.0.22.87-1-i686.pkg.tar.gz'.

==> ERROR: Error while downloading flashplugin-10.0.22.87-1-i686.pkg.tar.gz
    Aborting...
Error: Makepkg was unable to build lib32-flashplugin package.

Re: Chromium complains about 64-bit flash

Ok, I copied libflashplayer.so from Adobe's site to /opt/chromium-browser/plugins

and there are some still compliants about wrong elf class in flash .so files, but Flash works.

Re: Chromium complains about 64-bit flash

I installed flashplugin from the multilib repo but it doesn't work in my Chromium (i am x86_64). Is that the same problem you had?

Re: Chromium complains about 64-bit flash

i have the same problem
i originally used the natice 64bit, then I switched to the multi-lib version
but now after some updates it broke again.
i can reinstall the native 64bit from my cache, and it works, but the defauly 32bit multilib version doesn't work.

I get this error from the logs with chromium (with 32bit version)
31723:31723:19587931918:ERROR:base/native_library_linux.cc(28)] dlopen failed when trying to open default_plugin: default_plugin: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
64bit is fine

Re: Chromium complains about 64-bit flash

For those who want to run the 64-bit flash plugin. A few weeks ago Adobe announced a new prerelease, which is 64 bits again (and includes 64-bit support for Windows and Mac) and can be found in the AUR here

Re: Chromium complains about 64-bit flash

To the best of my knowledge you can not use a 32bit browser plugin with a 64bit browser without a help utility such as nspluginwrapper. This resulting in the error.

RobertMe's link is a good solution if you don't want to use nspluginwrapper.

Flashplugin from [multilib] has nspluginwrapper as a dependency, so installing flashplugin from [multilib] (instead of lib32-flashplugin from AUR, which some here mentioned) should probably also work if you want to stick with a stable flash release. I've just checked the PKGBUILD of lib32-flashplugin from AUR and it doesn't seem it has nspluginwrapper as a dependency, so when using lib32-flashplugin (for which there isn't any need anymore, because we now have flash in [multilib]) you should install nspluginwrapper yourself (which probably means you have to install nspluginwrapper-flash-prerelease from AUR, otherwise you have to install nspluginwrapper from [multilib] but than you can as well install flashplugin from [multilib])
