Blank screen on hibernate/sleep

Hi,

untill 2 weeks if I change to hibernate or sleep mode the first thing that happens it that the screen is blanked. But since that on mode change the screen is blanked and review the desktop screen again after a short time untill power off. Is there a way to restore the old behave? The change may be come with a package update. I use Gome a desktop environment on a Thinkpad T60 and have installed the current packages.

Is there any relevant in the errorlog/xorglog/syslog while happening this? Did you try with other wm/de too ?
Which kernel/driver/xorg do you use ? What was the critical update package, can you mention it ?
