[Solved]Cannot install any package with pacman

Hi,
today i tried a system update via pacman -Syu and i get these error messages

Konnte Datei 'curl-7.19.6-1-i686.pkg.tar.gz' nicht von ftp.archlinux.org übertragen : File unavailable (e.g., file not found, no access)

so it seems that these files are not on the servers

i have already tried different mirrors even the archlinux.org one

Re: [Solved]Cannot install any package with pacman

it was a problem with repository. it was fixed but mirrors need to sync.

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

Re: [Solved]Cannot install any package with pacman

..seems like something's messed up the repos quite bad. Many packages are missing from ftp.archlinux.org, so it's not only a sync problem with the mirror you're using. Knowing the devs, it's going to be fixed soon. smile

Re: [Solved]Cannot install any package with pacman

It is fixed. You just need to be patient and wait for the mirrors to resync. As many mirrors need to resync all the repo packages, there are not enough bandwidth for all the mirrors. So it will take some time.  ftp.archlinux.org is a mirror just like the other ones. The only difference is that we are the ones in charge of it.

For details on what happened, see:

It seems to me that only i686 repo is fixed, x86_64 is still missing packages on ftp.archlinux.org/extra/os/x86_64/ ?

Re: [Solved]Cannot install any package with pacman

I would recommend using reflector:

http://xyne.archlinux.ca/info/reflector

And run this command:

reflector -l 10 -o /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist -r

Then you get the latest synced and highest rated server available.

Re: [Solved]Cannot install any package with pacman

i cannot install reflector since it has dependencys

and now i think it don't has to do anything with the servers not being synched couse no server of the mirrorlist works
iam quite unhappy with this situation sad
