Cannot play music through player since upgrade

hello, i've had someone update my KDE to the new (and cooler looking) version of it. however seems like all the music i had loaded up from frostwire is no longer able to play through amarok ive installed 4 other players and although some of the programs recognised the tile of tracks non of them can let me actually listen to the music. so far ive installed rhythmbox, exaile, songbird, amarok, banshee i feel like ive run out of options! is the new version of KDE not letting me use frostwire? are my programs outdated now? anyone have a clue?

is there a possibility that its because i changed the multimedia settings to default recently? im too new at this and im searching around but i cant find a forum with an answer :S
