Hi there!
I've got Dell Studio 1555 notebook and I have problems with suspending it to disk/RAM. I'am using kdemod. In system settings-> power management i've set that when i'm closing the lid, notebook suspends to RAM. When I'm closing the lid, it suspends to RAM, but after opening screen blinks and switches off. What only I can do, is reset by power button.
When I set suspend to disk, my laptop only locks the screen, so there is something wrong.
I've installed hibernate-script and uswsusp packages and I've added resume device to /boot/grub/menu.lst. When I insert s2disk or s2ram -f, suspending to disk/RAM works.
How to make my laptop suspend after closing the lid?
I appreciate any help

What video card driver are you using?

xf86-video-ati.
Okay, suspend to disk works. I haven't set resume device in suspend.conf. But it works quite slow. Is there any possibility to speed up it?
