Scribus & mime issues

After an upgrade carrying a few packages, I got this error when the last one, Scribus, was installed:

(7/7) aggiornamento in corso di scribus             [##################################################################################] 100%
update desktop mime database...                                                                                                              
Unknown media type in type 'all/all'                                                                                                         

Unknown media type in type 'all/allfiles'

Unknown media type in type 'uri/mms'

Unknown media type in type 'uri/mmst'

Unknown media type in type 'uri/mmsu'

Unknown media type in type 'uri/pnm'

Unknown media type in type 'uri/rtspt'

Unknown media type in type 'uri/rtspu'

Unknown media type in type 'fonts/package'

Unknown media type in type 'interface/x-winamp-skin'

Anything I should worry about? wink

Search the web for any one of those error messages in full. This seems to be a very common problem.

Yep, I've done that... Mostly Ubuntu stuff. But there are no real solution, so I just wanted to know if I can safely ignore it or not...

It should be fine to ignore them if you don't mind the visual pollution every time update-mime-database is called. One thing that you could try is to check to see if those mime types are defined in ~/.local/share/applications/mimeinfo.cache. If they are and aren't in use, you could try deleting those lines or removing the file completely.

You can use "mimeman --purge" to purge unused/broken associations in ~/.local/share/applications. Check the man page for details.
