Music Player Failiure

Hello, im running KDE and i have for a long time been using amarok and frostwire to listen to my music, 3 days ago i upgraded to the newest version of KDE now i can download my songs but i cannot play ANY of them! i have used every music player known for linux but its like the track dosent even exist. does anybody else have this problem or does anyone have a solution, also i cannot stream music either EI: S.K.Y Fm ect please let me know if you might need more info im stumped.

Do you have the appropriate gstreamer packages installed?  Install vlc and see if the files play in that player.  If they do, you need to install the gstreamer packages.  If they don't play, you might have a sound driver/configuration problem.

i still have sound on my computer for example on start-up the music plays, could it still be a driver issue however? i am going to attempt the first thing you said though

Did you check System settings->Multimedia and see if your card  has preference? Also check the backend.
