Archiving Oracle database to XML

Hey,

Any ideas how I could archive a part of an oracle database as an XML archive? I'm writing a web app in ASP.NET that connects to an external Oracle database. I would like to be able to archive a part of the database (eg: all entries modified before certain date) to an XML file. I've consulted the oracle (google) and found a couple of solutions, but I'm wondering if anyone has done this kind of thing already and how was it done.
