no sound

i see that my sound card is detected with "alsamixer" but its not working with kde can someone tell me how i can fix this

i cant even see the volume controls with kmixer so there is some issue going on, i only can see the volume controls with alsamixer

Hello.

Are you check alsamixer?

Run "alsamixer" in a terminal, umunt "maxter", "PCM" and "Front".

Try "gpasswd -a username audio".

First check your groups

 groups

Check if you see "audio" if not as root or sudo

gpasswd -a username audio

Then check alsamixer

aslamixer

And check the alsa mixer  http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/ALSA
