I've finally turned to mpd and ncmpcpp after Amarok did some weird stuff that I couldn't explain. Now I did also install mpdscribble to have my Last.FM account updated, but I would also like to have these dynamic playlists that are filled with suggestions by Last.FM (or audioscrobbler?).
While looking for that I found two solutions, but I cannot get any of those to run, maybe someone could help me a little.
First one is here: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php? … 23#p377423
It is a script by Kane, I copied all of it into a textfile, made it executable, but when I start it first of all my cursor changes into a little cross and after a while it just terminates with the following error-messages (had to translate them into english, so maybe they don't sound right):
./mpdlastfm: Zeile 7: lastsong: commando not found.
./mpdlastfm: Zeile 9: syntaxerror at the unexpected term `('
./mpdlastfm: Zeile 9: `def timer_control():'
So I am a bit confused what to do, since in the thread of Kane he seems to be able to run it. Did I run it in a wrong way?
Second solution is this little python script called MPD_sima: http://codingteam.net/project/sima
I've downloaded it, but when I start it I also only get error messages:
Starting mpd_sima: done
$ Traceback (most recent call last):
File "./mpd_sima_0.3.0/src/mpd_sima.py", line 46, in <module>
from mpd import ConnectionError
ImportError: No module named mpd
All of these while mpd is running and mpdscribble is also working. Any ideas?

You could try out mpd-git from AUR, there's lastfm support included, take a look here

Thanks, if there are no suggestions how to fix the errors I get, I will definitely try it.

For the second, it probably needs either python-mpd or python-mpdclient2.

python-mpd is the right one
