Hi,
- I'm using VMware Player on Windows 7 to virtualize ArchLinux. The installation process was straightforward but now I have a problem with the Alsa kernel module. I successfully installed alsa-utils and alsa-oss as indicated in the Wiki and set-up alsamixer, but when I try to use aplay to make a test I get the following error :
Playing WAVE '/usr/share/sounds/alsa/Front_Center.wav' : Signed 16 bit Little Endian, Rate 480000 Hz, Mono
underrun!!! (at least -1364395846.471 ms long)

The audio card is activated on VMware Player and apparantly ArchLinux can recognize it as I can see it listed when I execute "aplay -l". Furthermore, when I execute aplay I can see the sound card activity in VMware Player, so I'm pretty confident it's not a hardware problem. Any idea about the origin of the problem and a way to fix it ?
Thanks.
PS : If I execute "aplay /dev/zero" I can hear a sound along with the underrun errors.
