This shows on 2 of my partitions, and this is also resetting my system time. I have tried manually resetting the time using the date command, and it resets after rebooting.
I also get other messages that indicate there is something wrong with the time. I had a message about the time stamp being in the future (or something to that nature) when I used sudo.
I also recieved an error message regarding an SSL certificate saying that it expired, when it was valid until 2010.
Currently my system time reads:
Wed Aug 26 16:38:26 CDT 2009
when it should be
Wed Aug 26 21:38:26 CDT 2009
I don't use NTP or anything....I guess the next thing I will check is my time settings in my BIOS...
I've also read threads in other forums mentioning the hardware clock (/sbin/hwclock), but I hesitate to blindly run commands in order to prevent further complications.
Thanks in advance.
EDIT:
My hardware clock is actually correct.........I suppose that I could set the system time to the hardware clock, although it doesn't work by setting the system time manually using 'date.'
