Last night I was updating the whole system on my laptop and unfortunately I fell into sleep. When I wake up I found the laptop had already shut up because the battery had been used up. Then the archlinux cannot start normally and told me to manually repair the file system. However, I can't find any harddisk device such as "sda*" in /dev, so it is impossible to use fsck command to repair. What can I do then ?
Pleas help me! Thx!

I'd be trying to boot from a live CD and chroot into the install and update from there.

I have entered into the live system with a usb flash drive, and I use xfs_check and xfs_repair to repair the root system. However, the problem still exist. I realize that there is something wrong with udev, for it manages the devices of the whole laptop. How can I repair it ?
