virtual box xrandr - failed to change the screen configuration

I am using Arch as guest in the Virtual Box

xrandr -q says 36000x36000 is the maximum mode.

I want my screen to be of maximum mode 36000x36000 which will is needed in my project.

IN my xorg.conf I have added the mode 36000x36000 but when I try

xrandr -q it shows 36000x36000

but when I try xrandr -s 36000x36000 it says
failed to change the screen configuration

Re: virtual box xrandr - failed to change the screen configuration

do you have enough video memory allocated to the virtualbox?  i'm guessing it would take a lot of video ram to produce such a high resolution.
