Hi
Context =>
I'm running ArchLinux on a quite new netbook, the ViewSonic VNB100... It works, without having to write my own xorg.conf. Xorg is able to setup the display, mouse and keyboard correctly, but a bit too slow to my taste (I aim to super fast boot time and Xorg take like 20 seconds) I wonder if I can write a valid xorg.conf, to avoid a useless hardware detection, it never changes on a netbook...
What I know
1024x600 24 bits
GMA 940 chip, intel driver installed and running
Question =>
Where I can find the infos (Google haven't been very friendly) for that ? I managed to find some bits in the Xorg logs (Modules, Screen and Device sections), but no info such as monitor frequencies and settings for the keyboard and the mouse.

X -configure will create one. But I doubt that having a xorg.conf will speed up anything.

The xorg.conf that X autogenerates should be located in /var/log/Xorg.0.log
I keep getting distracted from my webserver project...
huh? oooh... shiny!
