Hi everybody,
it's my first archlinux install. Everything works fine behalve sound.
I'm using kde4, I've installed pulseaudio,alsa-plugins and I launched pulseaudio (with daemons in /etc/rc.conf).
my computer is a hp-dv6-1230sb

the audio codec :

I haven't got any sound :s
I tried xine backend but nothing happened.
(Sorry, my English isn't perfect, I'm from belgium).

Did you follow the wiki pages step by step ?
"I tried xine backend but nothing happened." <- What was the error with it if you tried to start from console, did you try other applications too ?

I did a test with kde started. I tried the kde "sound tester" in config system.
I tried to play a flac with vlc.
Nothing happened.
I tried the wiki page for KDE,some pulseaudio and alsa tips...but no sound.
When I look at other linux distrib forum , nobody finds solution....
That's incredible, linux became perfect. No wifi bugs anymore and now they are bugs with the sound :s
