[Solved] Change mouse cursor in Awesome.

I can't change the mouse cursor in Awesome. I added "Xcursor.theme: aero-drop" in my .Xdefaults and "xrdb ~/.Xdefaults" in .xinitrc, but the cursor is still the default black one. I searched everywhere and I couldn't find how to change it. Can you give me a hand? Thanks.

It looks like the package in aur is messed up, It isn't extracting the themes and these are dead links to the tar.gz's.

xcursor-aero /usr/share/icons/aero-large-drop.tar.gz
xcursor-aero /usr/share/icons/aero-large.tar.gz
xcursor-aero /usr/share/icons/aero.tar.gz

you could manually extract the aero-drop.tar.gz into your ~/.icons folder and it should work.

Yeah, I download this http://www.infinality.net/files/aero-drop.tar.gz extracted it to my .icons folder in my home directory and added
Xcursor.theme: aero-drop
to my .Xdefaults and it works fine.

That's strange. It's changed, but only in Firefox and Skype. It's not changed in Pidgin, pcmanfm, and Awesome (bar, menu, etc)

Change the default cursor image too.(eg to left pointer)

add this to your .xinitrc

xsetroot -cursor_name left_ptr
