Bitpim not detecting cell phone.

Hello

I am trying to use bitpim to sync my phone. It is a LG VX8350, and it IS supported by bitpim. it HAS worked on ubuntu linux in the past, and it defenitly works in windows

but for some reason it does not work in arch linux?

I really have no idea what is not working. I had a script that automatically puts the udev rules in /etc/udev/rules.d/  (basically what this page tells you to do: http://www.bitpim.org/help/howto-linuxusb.htm ) and it still does not work. Why is this not working when it has worked in other linux distros? =/

I am using the bitpim-svn package that is found in the AUR if that helps any.
