Hi everybody,
I'm feeling quite dumb but I can't succeed in adding themes to gnome!!
Whitin the Theme tab under preferences I can see only 7 themes (Clearlooks, Crux, Glossy, High Contrast, High Contrast inverse, Aliante and Nebbia) while my /usr/share/themes folder looks like this:
ls /usr/share/themes/
AgingGorilla G26 Mist
Arch Glider Raleigh
Arch-Dark Glossy Redmond
Atlanta HighContrast Simple
Aurora HighContrastInverse Smooth-Funky-Monkey
Bright HighContrastLargePrint Smooth-Line
Clearlooks HighContrastLargePrintInverse Smooth-Okayish
ClearlooksClassic Industrial Smooth-Sea-Ice
Crux Inverted Smooth-Tangerine-Dream
Default LargePrint Smooth-Winter
Delightfully-Smooth LowContrast ThinIce
Emacs LowContrastLargePrint Unified
Esco Metabox
I have installe gtk-murrine-engine e gtk-aurora-engine. Why all those themes are not listed?!
thanks

the 7 themes you are seeing are 7 pre-set 'complete themes', which means those are certain gtk, metacity, fonts etc combined.
When you choose any of those and press 'customize' or something like that (the button should be somewhere below) you would be presented with a window with separate tabs for gtk themes, metacity themes, colours, fonts and all. There you would be able to choose from all you have added to your themes directory.
