Learn something about Arch first. xorg (and therefore video drivers) is not included on the install CD. All available wifi drivers are included on the CD.

The wiki is a good place to start - there's the official Arch Install Guide, and a much more detailed Beginner's Guide, if you feel you need it.

I know xorg isn't included.
You have to install it all command line first run.
You have no desktop enviorment..

Re: Will I have any problems installing Arch on this laptop?

I have Arch running on my USB pendrive, multiple partitions and all. I bet you could put Arch on a freakin' coffee machine if you put a little effort in it. Let's just say that if you run into trouble installing it on that laptop, it can probably be sorted out smile After installation, you might run into problems with e.g. the wireless, you never know. But why worry, it's free! big_smile

Archer.

Yeah it should work. The only possible problems you might have would probably be the ATI graphics, it might be a pain to get it running smoothly, but shouldn't be too bad. Atheros wireless works "out of the box" (ath5k driver, included in the kernel I believe), and if ath5k doesn't work madwifi probably, which is optionally installable off the CD or with pacman.
