[SOLVED] b43 wireless unable to detect aps

Sorry in advance if this has already been posted.

My Inspiron 6400 hasn't had a problem connecting/scanning for wireless networks in quite some time. However, I had booted in to windows recently, and upon reboot back in to archlinux I was unable to scan for wireless networks in the area.

iwconfig says the device is up. I've tried rmmod'ing and modprobe'ing b43. Still, iwlist scanning detects nothing.

My wireless card is as below:
0b:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4311 802.11b/g WLAN (rev 01)

Any other info I can give, let me know.

Ok, you should need to do the following:
1. First of all make sure you use b43 and not bcm43xx (edit /etc/rc.conf and in the MODULES array put "b43 !bcm43xx")
2. Install the firmware from AUR (b43-firmware)
3. reboot
4 (Optional) Use wicd to make your life easier.
This is what I always do an have no problem with it.

Archlinux | ratpoison + evilwm | urxvtc | tmux

@Lich

As I mentioned before, all my firmware and modules were loaded correctly. In fact I had wireless connectivity before on this same laptop with this same configuration. The problem began when I rebooted to windows, and then booted back in to Arch. The problem occurred seemingly out of nowhere.

Edit: Problem solved. What had happened was while in windows, I'd hit the key combination to send the picture through the laptop's VGA ports. I'd forgotten to re-hit the key combo when I was finished in windows before rebooting to Arch. For some reason, that stopped Arch's wireless dead in its tracks. VERY odd.
