Quake and OpenQuartz

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has packaged Quake + OpenQuartz for Arch yet.
OpenQuartz (http://openquartz.sourceforge.net/) is a free content replacement
for Quake 1 , so mixing it with one of the open source engines, the package
could be distributed on arch without copyright problems.

Also, there is a similar project for doom called freedoom (http://freedoom.sf.net),
but this one seems to be kind of stopped (no news since december 2003).

Re: Quake and OpenQuartz

Hi

i haven´t tried to download and install the game. But i think it shouldn´t be hard to install, because there are linux-binaries. Just download and unpack them in the directorie you want to.

Re: Quake and OpenQuartz

I know that. It's just that I would like to have more games available using pacman,
and it's alot easier to tell people to "pacman -S quake" than to "go to xwfrdfs.com
and download this, then download this free art stuff from dsfdsf.sf.net, put it into
this directory, etc.".
