(SOLVED)Wireless on Dell mini 10v

I just got arch running successfully on my new dell mini.  But I am having a hell of a time setting up the wireless. The main dell mini 10v page in the arch wiki showed me how to set up the wireless but its a no go.  Whenever I try to set it up using yaourt and AUR it says it failed.  Anyone know a step by step guide to get this wireless working?

Re: (SOLVED)Wireless on Dell mini 10v

I also recently bought a mini 10v and didn't have much trouble setting up the wireless... I just followed the Broadcom_BCM4312 guide on the wiki: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Broadcom_BCM4312

I'm going to need more specifics on what you mean when you say "it says it failed".

Re: (SOLVED)Wireless on Dell mini 10v

When I try to install from AUR it asks me if I want to edit the PKGBUILD which I say no to.  Then it asks me if i want to continue the building of broadcom-wl which I say yes too. Then the problems start, it goes on downloading the broadcom driver from the website, then I get a message saying "ERROR: Failure while downloading hybird-portsrc-x86_32-v5_10_91_9.tar.gz  Aborting... Error: Makepkg was unable to build broadcom-wl package."  I am fairly new to the arch way.  It seems every time I try to get something from AUR through yaourt I get messages like these. What am I doing wrong?

Hello, hockeyfighter09, did you try the dapolinario PKGBUILD given in the AUR page?

I just updated the driver with the new one as per dapolinario PKGBUILD and works in my Dell mini 9 with BCM4312.

Re: (SOLVED)Wireless on Dell mini 10v

I don't use yaourt, I just use the AUR website (don't use it that much), but it worked from there.

urxvtc / wmii / zsh / configs / onebluecat.net
Arch will not hold your hand

Re: (SOLVED)Wireless on Dell mini 10v

I followed the README file from this here http://www.broadcom.com/support/802.11/linux_sta.php and followed the directions completely. But it says Fatal no wl directory is found.  Any suggestions? I am pulling my hair out here roll

Re: (SOLVED)Wireless on Dell mini 10v

So the solution to the problem is just "mess around with it alot"?
What was the cause? Was it the URL in the PKGBUILD or what?

The repo provided by x-demon in the comments on this page http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=19514 seemed to fix my problem.
