I've just installed arch with kde destop, everything is fine but firefox keeps crashin on me. For instance when I click on the search on this forum, it crushes, I click on the addon, it crushes.
What could be the problem?

Thanks,

Re: Firefox keeps crashing[SOLVED]

Does it crash in Firefox safe mode?  You can also move ~/.mozilla and see if that stops the crashing.

Re: Firefox keeps crashing[SOLVED]

It does crash  in safe mode as well. Arora works fine, but all my firefox bookmarks are on xmarks server and I cannot retreive them because the mozilla addons site crashes on me.

Re: Firefox keeps crashing[SOLVED]

You can see this thread: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=78726

You can try all the other solutions suggested in that thread first, but it sounds like you have the problem with 'sqlite3 3.6.17-1' and 'xulrunner' that many others of us have had.  Near the end of that thread are instructions, thanks to frankspace, to recompile 'xulrunner' without 'sqlite3'.  The compile takes a long time compared to most others I've done for my Arch system.

I did not have to recompile Firefox, just 'xulrunner', to solve the crashing on my installation.

There's a typo in the first code box of instructions. Substitute "abs" where "aur" is written. You do need to have 'abs' installed ('pacman -S abs').

Hope this helps.

Edit for a typo of my own.

Re: Firefox keeps crashing[SOLVED]

Thanks for all the replies.  I solved the problem by installing swiftweasel. Now, everything is fine.
