Constant hard drive corruption

For some reason, my drive goes through frequent corruption. I've had to run e2fsck -f more than a few times on both my /var partition and my root partition to fix problems with apps not running and failed boot processes.

Sometimes I'll boot and amarok won't run, or banshee, or firefox...

Is there any way to fix this, or find the reason why this is happening?

Re: Constant hard drive corruption

Perhaps the system time is incorrect in your bios.

Latest rc.conf needs "localtime" inserted...........
