[SOLVED]Comlete newbie having alot of problems =P

Hey, I'm new here on the forums, and to Linux itself, this distro caught my eye, and I've been trying to install for a bit now, problem is, can't download the torrent file, and don't know how to do the ftp/http downloads, any advice? I have read the wiki and install guides, still can't do anything. Many thanks in advance smile

Welcome, are you looking for a 32 or 64 bit system?

Hello.

How new to linux are you? As it seems that you are a tad bit confused with the http download you might want to consider trying a distribution such as Ubuntu or Fedora. Ubuntu would be a good way to get your feet wet with linux. Generally arch is considered to be more of an advance level distro.

If you want to take a deep dive and have time to do a lot of reading the Beginners Guide is where you want to start.

I'm with Pyther. I stopped using Ubuntu so that I get used to the whole DIY thing. As a software engineering major I figured it'd be better for me to use Archlinux than Ubuntu. I could use Linux from Scratch but.....wow....takes way too long.

One nation, under the corporatocracy, indivisible, with liberty for them.

Really, I can understand the Supreme Court's rulings. Afterall, corporations are people just like us, with love and feelings, hopes and dreams, and a limited lifespan to do it all in... oh wait, nevermind. I was thinking of same-sex marriage.
