Linux Gaming Laptop

I'm in the market to buy a new laptop that can handle all the latest games/apps/etc for Windows and fully support Linux.  I'm preferential towards Asus, but open to options.  Suggestions?

Re: Linux Gaming Laptop

If you really want to go all out, get what I have: a Sager.  I believe the latest and best one is the NP9280.  You can get them through various online retailers (I got mine from xoticpc.com).  They feature desktop processors, even quad-core Core i7s, and good graphics hardware.  Be warned though, they're extremely heavy (~10lbs) and huge (2" thick).

Re: Linux Gaming Laptop

If it matters, the same people who make Sager laptops also make some Voodoo PCs as well as some Alien laptops. While I have not read much about Sager, I know there has been issues with Alienware products supporting Linux completely. I was looking at getting myself one a bit back. Sometimes the "flashy" aspects, such as lit keyboards, do not work.

I would stick with Asus. Their products tend to be supported quite well and I have never had an issue with one.

Just my two cents...
