xrandr reports invalid refresh rate

Hello

I'm currently running gnome on a single screen without any desktop effects activated, but when moving my window etc. I notice a bit of tearing, I guess it's because my refresh rate isn't correct.

When taking a look at xrandr and gnomes' Display Prefrences it reports 50hz as the current refresh rate, but in nvidia-settings and when looking in my menu on my screen it reports 60hz which should be the correct refresh rate.

I haven't found any way to make xrandr run in 60hz though, anyone have any ideas about how to make it run with correct refresh rate and get rid of the tearing?

Thanks

Re: xrandr reports invalid refresh rate

Sounds like you should have Option "DynamicTwinView" "False" - see http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-528285.html

This will not stop the tearing, though.

Re: xrandr reports invalid refresh rate

It's the tearing I want to get rid off, I've tried disabling the DynamicTwinView and it didn't give any effect, at least not for the tearing, and I want to have the possibility to turn on twinview though since I ocasionally watch a movie or so on my attached projector.
