Hi! I just bought a HP Deskjet D2660 printer and am not exactly sure how to go about setting it up under Arch or Linux in general. Can anyone point me in the right direction, do I need to install certain drivers? It came with a CD_ROM but obviously it is Windows only. Thanks in advance!

You may want to take a look at the CUPS Wiki Entry
Offline
1.install cups and hplip
2.start cups and add cups to /etc/rc.conf Daemon list
3.In terminal #hp-setup to download needed plugin(Check HP's HPLIP site for your printer) Make note of when to plugin usb cable.
4.In KDE>Apps.>System>CupsManagePrinting. Make sure to pick correct printer. If test page printing works then you're good to go. All-in-One may require more steps.
The wiki entry above will help fillout info.
5.Not as difficult as it may seem. Good luck.
