Previous Post ( v4l, opencv and Webcam issues )

I feel like this is probably a better location for it than the last place because I have recently reasoned it is more of a programming issue. (If so can someone move it?)

I've been struggling with this problem for the last couple days. I can't get opencv (c) to work with my camera however I can get the opencv (python) to work. I find it odd because I figured it was almost an identical library. Anyhow, this is my previous post.

Any help would be greatly appriciated, for I have not found many people experiencing this issue.

So. what is the status of your project? im very interested in some simple app to control window focus of my tiling wm using webcam head tracking.
