Touchpad problems

I've been configuring my new Arch system on a Lenovo S12.

For the life of me, I can't figure out how to get the vertical scroll on the touchpad to work. I've read the TouchPad Synaptics wiki page and checked over the settings in /etc/hal/fdi/policy/whatever.fdi, which says that vertical scrolling is true.

Any idea on how to get this working?
