Installing packages from Testing

Hi guys,

couldnt find a wiki or another post about this so here it goes.

I want to just install the new kernel from the testing repo (read no full system upgrade)

But ive enabled the testing repo in my pacman.conf file, and did a pacman -Sy to sync. But i still get the "System is up to date" messages.

Am i missing a step here?

Thanks (from a new user)

Re: Installing packages from Testing

You have to enable it in your pacman.conf above the [core] and [extra] repos.  Also, as a warning, it is not designed to only update single packages from [testing] unless you really know what you are doing.
