x is unresponsive

I just install arch, installed xorg, fluxbox, and nvidia. I then copied over /etc/X11/xorg.conf that I know to work on other distros. I then put fluxbox in .xinitrc and ran startx. Fluxbox loads, but it's completely unresponsive. I can't kill X with ctrl+alt+backspace, and ctrl+alt+f1 does nothing.

Re: x is unresponsive

Do you have hal running? You either need to start hal or deactivate input hotplugging. See http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Xor … otplugging

Minds are like parachutes. They only function when they are open.

Re: x is unresponsive

Installing hal fixed it.
