Need help on building a dedicated media player

Hello,
Can someone help me to build a linux machine as a dedicated media player?
I need it to be a video playing machine for broadcasting.

This is what I have right now...
OS:
- Using Linux (ArchLinux for sure) to avoid malware and viruses.
Upload video files using FTP:
- Using vsftpd

And what I want...
Use multiple monitor:
- One for playlist and queue (Computer Display)
- Another one for display video in full screen (TV Screen)
So what app and setting to do this?

That's all.

Srry for bad english and thanks in advanced,
xcession.

Your question is not very clear. On the one hand you talk about monitors, but 'broadcast' seems to imply stream and maybe transcode it. Upload videos to where? And do you want to manage it remotely? You probably are looking for some kind of 'mediacenter' software like Mythtv, XMBC or Elisa.

Re: Need help on building a dedicated media player

Sorry for that, sad I'm currently working for the local cable TV.
and I'm using a Windows machine with VLC to play the videos for broadcast.
There is no streaming or something like that, The broadcaster will do the rest.

My situation is when someone is going to use it(that Windows machine + VLC) to play video.
It's seam too complicated for those who not know about computer.
(to Open VLC - open playlist - drag video window to the tv monitor - drag video files to the playlist - blah blah...)

I want to build a system that easier to use.
Like just Open the app drag video file to that playlist
(or If possible I want something with user interface like FrontRow but can create a custom playlist on the fly like iPod)
and then the videos will play on the second monitor(TV monitor) not the main display.
the VLC OSX version can do this. but I can't find it in the Windows version. (any clue?)

I've tried the media center distro like XMBC, GeexBox ... but they're doesn't provide an option to play the videos on second monitor.
