How to find if my laptop has IR port?

which command will list if I have IR functionality in my laptop?
ok seems i have something in lshal

in windows7 it is seen as ITE8708 which is detected in lshal

[venky@ARCH64XPS ~]$ lshal | grep 8708
udi = '/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/pnp_ITE8708'
  info.product = 'PnP Device (ITE8708)'  (string)
  info.udi = '/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/pnp_ITE8708'  (string)
  pnp.id = 'ITE8708'  (string)

now i have no idea how to activate it or which lirc driver is it
