Disable speakers with ALSA?

Is there a way that I could disable my laptop speakers, so that sound will always be sent to the headphones, even when none are plugged in? I have an HDA Intel card:

Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition Audio Controller (rev 02)

I've tried everything in alsamixer, but nothing.
