problem with zydas wifi

Hi,

recently I tried to run a zydas WLA-54L usb stick wlan card. The problem is that, as it seems to me (as my knowledge in that area isn't big), that the drivers do not work correctly. When I do run "iwlist scan" it finds nothing, and it do not search for long. There is a few networks ih the place, and the router I want to connect to is some 3 meters far. Device is responding to command "ifconfig wlan1 up/down".

I have installed the zd1211rw firmware witch should have support this hardware. lsusb prints following:

Despite iwlist finds no networks I have tried to connect to one without good results. Any help?
