automounting and k3b access rights [SOLVED]

i want optical disks with data to automount so that i can do stuff like rip content (repeatedly) without mount/umount all the time.  also i want to make k3b have privileages to write optical media.  right now im not sure what user needs privileages (is it log in user or does k3b have its own account).  sorry if this is covered elsewhere.

gpasswd -a username optical
