SATA hotplug eject command

Hi,
Got an Intel ICH7R AHCI enabled chipset.
Currently using the hotplug function without problems.
On plugging the drive gets recognized and even mounted automatically.
Prior to removing the drive i unmount the it and use the following command:

echo "scsi remove-single-device x x x x" > /proc/scsi/scsi

What i want to ask is if there's a simpler command to do this?
Like a simple "eject" ?
And yes i know i can make an alias smile

Thanks
