auto-configure X and Desktop?

Hi,

Is it possible to auto-configure X and Desktop, from the install menu? From my install experience I think not, if such is the case, is this in the roadmap of development for the distribution?

Thanks,

Re: auto-configure X and Desktop?

Not from the Arch's install, the wiki is helpful for how to configure, especially the Beginner's Guide and you also might want to look at the Arch Way. If you really want an arch-like system that's pre-configured you might want to look into Chakra. It's still only an alpha installer, but it works reasonably well in my experience.

No. It is not in the roadmap, I think. Because then it would violate "The Arch Way" and "KISS philosophy".
