Audio Input on Dell Mini 10v

The audio input on my Dell Mini 10v doesn't work. These seems to be a known problem - in Ubuntu, they applied a patch to get it working in Karmic: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour … bug/394793

I confirmed by booting Ubuntu from USB that audio is working.

Does anyone know how I can get this to work in Arch? This stuff is really over my head. The input device shows up in alsa, but not audio is there. This patch is needed to set the input level apparently.

Bump - someone must be able to point me in the right direction, I know there's a lot of smart kernel type people around here . . .
