I am Having trouble installing Arch on my lap.. I don't have internet access which makes it even worse.. i downloaded the core iso but whenever i boot from it i only get the grub prompt.. the iso linux version works fine, but need the internet to download packages.. is there anyway to get a core iso with a isolinux loader instead of grub..

Re: Core iso with ISOLINUX loader

But you need internet access anyway to update the system and install additional stuff, so why would you want to install without internet connection?

Re: Core iso with ISOLINUX loader

Check the mirror for archboot iso, I think they use isolinux too.

Archboot Readme

Edit: You can also copy the package directory from the core cd to an USB stick/harddrive, boot with the isolinux ftp, mount the package folder, select source CD/OTHER and use the path to the mounted folder containing the packages.
