poweroff problem?

i'm not sure if i'll be able to get help here for this. but it can't hurt to try. i'm running a custom Zen patched kernel on my new EeePC 900A. for some reason all of a sudden it won't poweroff, it will go through the process of stopping daemons and whatever else it does at shutdown, and then it hangs at the last powering off message?

it reboots fine though. and this just started last night anyway, it was working fine before. all i can think of that changed since it last worked was i removed kde and put lxde on. and installed acpid, but i've tried removing acpid and rebooting to see if it will power off again

Re: poweroff problem?

well, i got it working. i recompiled again, i had hyperthreading and multicore support in there on top of SMP, i got rid of the multicore support, and its shutting down fine now.
