network permission problems / launchy opens apps from firefox

Alright I got 2 problems. First off how do I get wifi-radar to work under an account without superuser permissions. (using dhcpcd, wpa-suplicant, and of course iwconfig)

The other problem is that I just installed launchy, and it opens applications from firefox. (Which doesn't work at all >.<)

Well first off. If you are looking for help in getting things to work, the wiki is awesome, it makes the forums almost obsolete haha. Check it out:

As for wifi-radar: I would recommend using wicd, it's easier as it handles wired connections too. Although I've never used wifi radar, but wicd is very nice, instructions are also on the wiki:

As far as launchy goes, I don't know. There doesn't seem to be a wiki article, but xkeybinds should do what you need. Or if you are set on launchy, can you explain a little more what your problem with it is, I don't really understand. Do you mean it passes the program you want to run as a parameter to firefox? like 'firefox xterm' or something like that? Does launchy have a config file?

The only problem with wicd is that if the devid changes for the wired and wireless interfaces, then I have to reconfig it (which happens often >.<)

Whenever I try to open an application with launchy, it opens a new tab in firefox. And it tries to run the app from there, which obviously doesn't work.
