Hello,
I updated my laptop and i notice now that my touchpad whose was working great before the update, is now doing something strange and boring.
Normally, when i slide down, it should goes donw slowly. That's what it does.
But, when i try to scroll up, it simply scroll down super fast!
What can i do?
Iam not a newbie but i don't know what the problem is in this case?
Thanks a lot and sorry for my english

do you use gnome?
if so... open gnome-mouse-properties
in gnome 2.28 the all control of mouse's and touchpad is managed there (even over gsynaptics)
try that, move some configurations and post if it help you

I would also take a look at the wiki to see if anyone made a page for your type of laptop.
For example, I knew of my touchpad issues before installing because of the Dell XPS 1530 wiki page I found that explained to me how to fix it.
Might also want to looking into this wiki as well depending on what kind of touchpad it is: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Touchpad_Synaptics
Arch linux i686 | Dell XPS m1530 | Intel Core 2 Duo 2 GHz | 3 GB RAM | 250GB HDD

So in Gnome 2.28 you can only have either two finger scrolling or edge scrolling ...
How can i enable both like before ??

Hello,
Sorry for the delay but no way to get connected before now.
So, the problem is that in gnome-mouse-properties I have nothing about the touchpad itself!
So, no wiki page has been made for my Acer Aspire and the problem is that i don't know if it's a synaptic touchpad or not.
When i do lspci i have nothing about the touchpad itself.
In gnome 2.26 everything is working fine, nothing to configure of any kind.
But in 2.28, it sucks about that scrolling problem only.
Thanks for your help friend
