MicroSD card gives errors

I've just purchased a 4GB Kingston microSD card and it's giving me no end of trouble in linux.

- I already have an 8GB one from the same manufacturer that works perfectly under linux.
- The 4GB device works fine on a Windows PC and another portable device (Dingoo A-320). I've written and read back files to the device using these.
- I've tried to connect to my PC with an SDHC card reader, the Dingoo and a Sandisk e200. They all give the same problems, whereas the 8GB works fine with all.

I've running Arch64, kernel26: 2.6.31.4-1

Any help with this would me much appreciated.
